The W.I.B.A. Ranking system is based on a player’s performances in the WIBA Competitions (Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours), the WIBA Champion of Champions, the British Isles Indoor Championships and British Isles Indoor International appearances. Only competitions and International appearances which are open to all WIBA registered players, irrespective of age, are included in the assessment.
Rules:-
1. In each of the WIBA Open Competitions, players are awarded 1 point for reaching the last 32 and 1 extra point for each subsequent game won, a potential of 6 points per event. In the event of a substitute playing in accordance with the WIBA Rules, the originally named player and the substitute player shall receive 1 point for each game they played after reaching the last 32 of that competition.
2. In the W.I.B.A. Champion of Champions event, 1 point will be awarded for reaching the last 16, and 1 extra point for each game won, a potential of 5 points.
3. BIIBC – Each player will earn 1 point on reaching the Final of the BIIBC Championships in each event and 1 extra point for winning the BIIBC title.
4. BIIBC International Appearances. Each player will be awarded 1 point for each International appearance in the BIIBC.
5. Points awarded are cumulative over the last 3 year period. All points for the stated period count in full.
6. The names of the top 30 (or equal) players in the Ranking list the end of each season will be published. Records will be kept of the top 50 players at the end of each season. Players must have a minimum of 5 points in order to be entered in the listings.
7. The WIBA Competition Secretary will compile the list at the completion of each season and present the current list at the WIBA AGM.
