BIIBC Update for 2021 2022 Season
The BIIBC met on the 19th January 2021 and after taking soundings from all the countries involved it was agreed that the 2020/21 season would be cancelled. All events will be rolled over to 2021/22 and will be held at the same venues.
It was also agreed that for one year only next years Under 18s Championships will be Under 19s and the Under 25s Championship will be Under 26. This will allow players who would have missed out this season due to COVID-19 the opportunity to compete next season.
The Presidential Chain will be rolled over to 2021/22 so Jane Type will hold the office until the AGM in March 2022.
The BIIBC agreed to hold a further meeting in April 2021 when we should have a better picture of the situation.
Provisional fixtures for Season 2021/22.
- Under 19s Mixed Internationals, Ballybrakes Ireland 9th & 10th October 2021.
- Under 26s Men’s Internationals Frith Wales 19th & 20th February 2022.
- BIIBC Championships Belfast 14th to 16th March 2022.
- BIIBC Men’s Internationals Belfast 17th to 19th March 2022.
The BIIBC are waiting for confirmation of the Over 50s Internationals from Warner’s Hayling Island, more information will be posted when it becomes available.
