Ffrith Indoor Bowls Club

Club History

Located in the North Wales Bowls Centre at Prestatyn’s Ffrith Beach, the club was formed in 1989, and has over 200 members. Extensively refurbished by Denbighshire County Council, the bowling arena provides 8 rinks of international standard.

The stadium is open to all abilities and ages of bowlers. Our members encourage and welcome visitors and tourists to the area where they can enjoy a game of bowls and partake of the first class catering and bar facilities, or just sit and have a coffee in the comfortable lounge viewing area.

Our all year round arena is able to accommodate league and social bowling events and, due to our central location on the North Wales Coastal belt, visiting bowlers come to play from across North Wales, Merseyside, Greater Manchester the Potteries, Cheshire and the Wirral.

For the beginner we offer training from qualified coaches and the hire of the correct bowling equipment and stadium footwear. This is a great way to start on a sport that can be played whatever the weather outside!

The centre takes pride in welcoming disabled bowlers and has pre bookable wheel chairs available that are specially designed for the disabled bowler enabling them to bowl safely.

Summer and Winter League programmes are open to new teams wishing to join and meet new friends and take part in the league programmes. The main winter league programme starts in October and runs to the end of March.
