Presidents Address 2025-2026

Firstly, I would like to thank Newport Indoor Bowls Club for my nomination, and for giving me the opportunity to attain the honour of being the Welsh Indoor Bowls President.

Congratulations must go the Mr Nigel Williams, on the dignified manner he conducted himself and performed his duties, as Welsh Indoor Bowls President. It was an absolute honour and a pleasure to be your Vice President.

I am very much looking forward to working with Secretary Mr John Phillips, Treasurer Mrs Kath Blayney, both Team Managers, and all other Officers. I am also looking forward to working with Young Bowler Coordinating Officer, Mrs Allyson Lawrence.

I am extremely proud of the position I now hold, and I will endeavour to uphold the traditions of all past Presidents. I am very much looking forward to my year in office.

To all members of the Welsh Indoor Bowls, and to all those players who will be representing Wales in International Competitions throughout the year, I wish you all the success.

My chosen charity is Fibromyalgia UK. I already have a Presidents game arranged for September in Newport. I would very much like to hold at least another Presidents game during the season. If anybody wishes to make a donation to my chosen charity, it would be gratefully received.
