Passing of Mike Doody

It is with a heavy heart that Welsh Indoor Bowls announces the passing of former Welsh Indoor Bowls Association Secretary and President Mike Doody.

Mike served as Welsh Indoor Bowls Association Secretary in 2013-14 and went on to become Welsh Indoor Bowls Association President in 2019-20, following this Mike took up a position as a National Governing Body Nominated Director on the Board of Bowls Wales putting in long hours of work for the benefit of bowls in Wales.

Mike was a member of Newport Indoor Bowls Club and his presence around the indoor bowls scene be missed by his bowling colleagues.

Our thoughts at this sad time are with Mikes wife Jean and their family members.
